Please contact the secretary's office for appointments. | The head secretary was friendly and handed me some papers to fill in. The medical history form did not ask for pronouns or desired form of address, was rather neutrally worded and I was able to fill in my desired name. However, my old name was still written on the file, which was a bit strange, as I had already changed my name on my health insurance card. In the conversation with Mr Bugariu, he asked me by which name I would like to be addressed and told me to write my desired address on the file. He was very friendly, professional and seemed very experienced with transition and the 'faux pas' to avoid." | "Overall, the conversation was very friendly, structured and professional, but also only 25 minutes long, which included a short medical history, body measurement, photo documentation, surgical explanation, the preparation of the doctor's letter with a request for reimbursement for the statutory health insurance, the explanation for participation in a post-operative study on patient satisfaction and the showing of 2-3 example results. (The patient is asked for permission to take photos to document the plastic results before and after the operation. The photos are also taken directly during the first consultation, but you can also refuse this). So if you want a detailed conversation, you might feel a bit taken by surprise here. I asked if I could record the conversation so that I could listen to it again afterwards at my leisure. This was no problem, which I found very nice, and I was also allowed to bring in a companion. The photos of results were only shown on request, here tattoos were not pixelated, which I found somewhat questionable from a data protection point of view. You are given a sheet with "Frequently Asked Questions" which answer a lot of things.
