"Most medical assistants are very respectful when dealing with trans people, but unfortunately not all doctors in the practice. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to reach a member of staff on the phone or to be called back. Patients who have already been admitted have better luck by email. If you are admitted, you can come in for a blood test almost any time in the morning without an appointment and receive the blood results and medical assessment within a few weeks. That actually takes too long. For appointments, you often sit in the waiting room for 1-2 hours to be called. This is down to the practice management, not the doctor. Either way, Mrs Frenzke takes time for her patients. She treats many trans people, so we are neither a minor matter nor an experiment. Hormone therapy is offered in gel form (preferably with Tostran, alternatively with Testogel) for use at home, or intramuscularly (Nebido and Testosterone-Ratiopharm) in the practice. Unfortunately, subcutaneous preparations for use at home or in the practice are not prescribed. I myself am trans male and undergo testosterone therapy, but hormone blockers and oestrogens are also options for other patients."
