"We were treated extremely respectfully as a queer family and we were both treated as fully-fledged parents, e.g. of course we breastfed the baby together, no awkward questions about the ‘father’ or how the baby was born etc. Our wishes were respected. This was certainly a great achievement as there are even fewer queer people in obstetrics than anywhere else, nothing commonplace for the midwives. Nevertheless, nowhere else have I felt so naturally well treated as here for a long time!"
