"Dr Fischer-Medert was very friendly. After I came out to her as a trans man, she apologised in advance if the practice staff had slipped out the wrong form of address and noted my correct name in the file. Even after a change of gender, check-ups are no problem for her. She explained to me the possible risks of taking testosterone without judgement and issued me with a referral for a mastectomy without any problems. She also seems to be very non-binary friendly and open to "unconventional" ways of transitioning. A trans female friend of mine who has undergone GaOP is also being treated by her and is satisfied. The practice staff were friendly, but a bit overwhelmed by the term "trans", no gender-neutral wording, I was addressed as "'Mrs' on the phone after coming out." | "Dr. Fischer-Medert was very approachable, friendly and non-judgemental. I felt relaxed to ask all the questions I had, during the procedures she undertook, and she easily reassured me when some anomalies needed further attention and a follow-up appointment." | "Receptionist was quite rude, continued to speak German even though she knew I needed English and ignored me for sometime before greeting. I have self-diagnosed vaginismus and a year prior had a very negative experience with a gynecologist (had to file a report), which traumatised me further about getting a routine smear test. Dr. Toni Fischer-Medert was kind and caring, she validated my experience and did not force a smear test at the time, instead giving me a referral for a sex therapist. I also felt comfortable identifying as queer."
