"Contact with the practice staff was always friendly. I was addressed with my preferred pronouns. I remember that the medical history form was not formulated in a gender-neutral way. Dr Fisher was open about the gaps in her knowledge about transgender. She also sometimes asked questions that I didn't find uncomfortable, but some people might. I felt so comfortable with her that I dared to have a physical examination by a doctor again after 4 years. The contact and the treatments were uncomplicated and I was never pressurised into anything I didn't want. She has little experience with trans people and also little knowledge of medical matters relating to gender transition."
