"After being informed in writing of my NB pronouns, they were consistently used by all reception staff (telephone and live). The anaesthetist who was called in for a minor procedure was not informed and used "Mrs...", however, shortly before an anaesthetic I did not feel like correcting him.
The medical "regular staff" readily answered all my questions about wanting children and possibilities as a NB person and signalled support should I wish to have treatment steps abroad (which are denied to single persons in Germany)." | "After I handed a note over the reception counter on which I described my wish for a gender-neutral form of address [first name last name] and no pronouns, all mail was addressed in a gender-neutral way and first and last names were almost always used to call me. As soon as I identified myself on the phone with my patient [sic] number, I was also addressed as requested, so it seems to be ‘stored’ somewhere. Contracts and forms are largely tailored to cis-hetero couples, but same-sex couples are also mentioned. I only received forms intended for singles when I asked - but they always mentioned SingleFRAU. When I once had the bvt brochure ‘Trans* mit Kind’ with me, Dr Behrens took a photo of it for me to read, and the contract forms and information material for stimulation, social freezing, insemination and IVF/ICSI are formulated in a very cis-hetero-normative way and always assume cis-het couples and classic family constellations. As a trans* single who wants to have children, you have to ‘translate’ a lot."
