‘Very respectful and upfront contact at eye level. Dr Santen addressed me as a trans woman, even without having mentioned this beforehand, which made me very happy. He was also very empathetic and did not display any abusive, derogatory or otherwise unpleasant behaviour. Apart from that, the entire treatment seemed very coordinated, dignified and professional. All the treatment methods were calmly explained to me and I was made aware of the risks. The medical history form was gender-neutral. The first appointment was also very quick and reliable.’
