"The admission form still contained a question about a binary gender, but it was completely ok to omit/delete this. I was called "Mr." (probably based on my first name - the one I chose, even though my insurance card is still in dead name). Dr. Berger, on the other hand, greeted me immediately with "How may I address you?" He also arranged for my name to be changed in the dig. He also arranged for my name to be changed in the digital patient file ("Let's just try it out")* - but first asked me in which name I would like to have a prescription issued. He said himself that he was not familiar with HRT/transition treatments - but this was also irrelevant for my orthopaedic complaints. The contact was generally very pleasant, both at reception and during treatment/examination; in my opinion also very transparent. *(As of 2023: It works (and is probably also approved by the KÄV) - however, this will be overwritten the next time the insurance card is read)."
