"The practice is really great. Dr Hansen is extremely motivated and friendly. She is one of those rare doctors who don't have a problem if they don't know something because they like to learn new things. This is great in terms of trans health issues, but also practical for me because I have an autoimmune problem that is hardly known in this country. The practice manager is also really on the ball. There are video consultations, online appointments, a patient app for reordering prescriptions and general communication. My name and pronouns were respected right from the start (even though I haven't changed my name yet). Questions relating to trans identity were all respectful and purely medical, as it was a question of whether they could carry out my nebido injection so that I wouldn't have to make a pilgrimage to Hamburg every time. Good to know: As the practice is part of the therapy centre, the staff have plenty of experience with intermuscular injections! The Nebido injection was no problem at all and was carried out very well. Dr Hansen says she doesn't know much about trans issues but what I think is important is that she reads up and listens and is open. So if you have no problem sending her information that will help her, or simply waiting a few days until she has had a chance to read up, you will be well advised here."
