An expert opinion was required for a mastectomy | "I was always addressed correctly by my chosen name and without pronouns. There were no separate fields on the forms for trans* people who had not (yet) changed their name or civil status. When asked, I entered my details as such on the forms and it wasn’t a problem at the clinic. Everyone is really nice and treats me respectfully as a non-binary person. The formalities were always handled correctly using my official name."
