"I was greeted in a very kind and respectful manner, and was even asked how I would prefer to be addressed. Several trans* patients have already felt well cared for by her, and the issue of referral letters is no problem for her.‘ | ’Super kind – I received a lot of information in response to my initial email about other trans-friendly places to go if she couldn't find room for me in her calendar; she respected my name, pronouns and identity from the very beginning. She offers behavioural therapy and is a great point of contact in our city of Giessen. She is very progressive and open about trans* issues and is willing to issue letters of indication together with her patients.‘ | ’Ms. Günster always treats me with respect and understanding, uses my chosen pronouns and has understanding and experience with non-binary identities, which she also respects. However, due to the system, some forms only show the gender from the health insurance card. My letter of indication for hormone treatment was formulated in consultation with me in such a way that as few problems as possible arise with the endocrinologist (female form instead of gender-neutral). I received this without unnecessary delays and without any form of gatekeeping."
