"Dealing with the practice staff and Mr Herden is always friendly and helpful. They also make time for more specific questions and problems and try to find a solution. I am always addressed correctly on site. Only on the phone is it rare that the wrong form of address is used (which is probably more due to the fact that my voice cannot always be read clearly). However, as soon as I have pointed this out to the person I was speaking to, they have always apologised and corrected me, which is why I have never considered such a misunderstanding to be a big deal." | "The practice actually acts as my GP, but as it's not always easy to find doctors nearby who specialise in gender reassignment treatments and to get an appointment there promptly, I'm glad that I can also go to Mr Herden for certain concerns. For example, I can easily have my hormone preparations administered there if my endocrinologist is not available or go there if I need a check-up regarding wound healing after an operation. Mr Herden always takes the time to answer my questions. Even though gender reassignment surgery does not specifically fall within his area of expertise, he is still well informed, understanding and professional. If further measures are necessary that are outside the scope of the practice, a solution is sought together and, if necessary, a referral is made directly to a doctor providing further treatment. In addition, Mr Herden explicitly told me that I (or people with a similar background) am very welcome at the practice and that the doors are always open, and I think that this is reflected in the way patients are treated." / "I was treated very kindly and respectfully, my pronouns were used correctly and my wishes were taken into consideration. I am being treated by Mr Herden as a GP. I also occasionally get my testo prescription here when it suits me. Mr Herden is very understanding, empathetic and makes me feel that I can talk to him about anything and that I am taken seriously."
